My name is Artur Klatt and I am the operational managing director of Hanseranking GmbH. We specialize in search engine advertising and search engine optimization, but our portfolio also includes social media marketing and content marketing. When did you start working intensively with customer reviews?
We have been involved with reviews right from the start, initially mainly with Google reviews. After consultations or successful collaborations, we encouraged our customers to leave reviews. However, not all customers wanted to do this via Google, which is why we looked for alternative platforms.

How do you deal with reviews as soon as you receive one?
We have two areas of responsibility for reviews - one for consultations and one for ongoing collaboration. The response is then split between marketing and sales depending on the case. We respond to every review, whether positive or negative, within a day and use the feedback to continuously improve.
Occasionally, of course, feedback is not particularly constructive, but the reviews also have to have a platform somehow.
Do you have a predefined process for looking at customer feedback as a team or company?
The reviews always go to the team leaders or department heads and the task is to pick out recurring potential problem stories and look at them: Is this really the case? How can we improve communication or other aspects? We have also implemented an additional personal call. This means that customers who perhaps don't leave a review get another call to simply ask personally how everything went, without any sales pitch or anything like that. It's a completely neutral complaint box where you can let off steam, both positively and negatively. Over the last two years, this has given us
many insights into what could potentially be optimized or what is going particularly well.
What advice would you give to other companies that are still hesitant to use reviews?
Reviews are a real trust factor and social proof is crucial to be successful online. Anyone who underestimates the importance of reviews is missing out on enormous potential. Clear figures instead of empty phrases: 87% of customers actively research reviews before booking - if you are not visible here, you will lose business to competitors. Online reviews are the digital proof of trust of our time - scalable, visible around the clock and a decisive factor for success. It's not about offering the best product or service, but about gaining the trust of potential customers. Without a strong evaluation strategy, companies lack the presence and credibility that customers expect today. If you don't take action here, you not only lose customers, but also opportunities for growth.
