“No marketing budget can buy me social proof.”

Last updated: April 9, 2026
In this interview, Alexandra Wimsmann-Hiller explains why customer reviews have become such a critical factor for many entrepreneurs today. As the founder of Lebendigmacher GmbH, she shares how authentic client feedback helps her build trust and give potential clients a genuine insight into her work.

Alexandra primarily supports entrepreneurs and leaders through personal transformation processes. A big part of her work focuses on identifying and shifting deeply rooted patterns and beliefs. Reviews play an important role in making her clients’ experiences visible.

Alexandra, can you briefly introduce yourself? What exactly do you do?

I’m the founder and CEO of Lebendigmacher GmbH. My clients often call me the “Dogma-Queen.” I guide people—both online and in person—toward greater fulfillment in life, love, and finances.

What kind of people usually reach out to you?

I mainly work with women, though sometimes with men as well. Many are entrepreneurs, executives, or people on the verge of starting their own business. I particularly often see women in their mid-30s or 40s who realize, I’ve accomplished a lot, achieved a great deal, but where have I actually ended up? What do I truly want?

What kind of challenges do they bring to you?

The concerns vary a lot. Some come to me because they feel completely overwhelmed or exhausted; burnout or conflicts at work typically play a role. Others are facing big questions around career, self-employment, or family. And of course, relationships are a major topic as well. Many women realize they keep repeating similar patterns.

In my work, we take a closer look together: Where does this come from? What’s behind it? Often, it comes down to deeply rooted belief systems, those internal “yes, but…” loops in the mind.

Anyone who wants to better understand how these belief systems form and how they can be changed can also experience Alexandra in her webinar on the psychology of belief systems. There, she explains how these internal patterns work and how they can be consciously transformed.

What is your professional background?

I come from a traditional corporate environment. For many years, I worked as a senior marketing executive, mainly in brand and marketing communications.

I started out in agencies and later worked in large companies, where I led different areas of communication—from brand and sales communication to internal communication. I also managed large teams and was responsible for many employees.

A personal life crisis eventually forced me to pause and take a closer look at things. I realized that this path wasn’t truly mine, and that’s ultimately how my current work developed.

What kind of training did you do to prepare for the career change?

From the very beginning, it was important to me that my work is built on a solid professional foundation. That’s why I completed several training programs, including certification as a naturopathic practitioner for psychotherapy, as well as an executive business coach and a systemic counseling and body therapist. In addition, I bring many years of leadership experience.

Why did you choose ProvenExpert?

For me, the visibility of quality plays a major role. Even the name “ProvenExpert” fits very well with my brand, which stands for high-quality and sustainable change; it represents proven expertise.

I also like how professionally reviews are presented and how flexible the platform is. With ProvenExpert, I can actively request feedback, use different surveys for different offers, and automate many processes. I’m always impressed by how efficiently and professionally I can use my client feedback.

How did you handle reviews before?

In a very traditional way. I had Google reviews or feedback via email or WhatsApp. Over time, a large amount of feedback accumulated, but it was scattered, unstructured, and not centralized. As a result, my expertise wasn’t visible to the outside world. I lacked a central place that brings all these voices together and officially showcases them. So that it’s clear: these are real experiences, nothing sugarcoated.

That’s precisely what I like about ProvenExpert. The reviews come from real customers with genuine experiences.

What has changed since using ProvenExpert?

Now I have one place where all experiences come together, and that I can easily share with potential clients. I like to call it the “power of the third person.” It’s not my words, but the experiences of others that speak for me there. That’s exactly what builds trust.

After all, I’m not selling small products but a high-quality transformation. When people are willing to invest in themselves, they take a close look at what others have experienced, just like we check restaurant or movie reviews before deciding.

Now I can simply say, “Take a look, this is verified, this is authentic.”

In addition, the badges and different integration options from ProvenExpert help me a lot—whether on my website, in presentations, or even in printed materials. It strengthens my positioning as an expert to the outside world.

Has ProvenExpert also changed your customers' decision-making process?

Yes, definitely. Many potential clients first look at the reviews and let themselves be guided by the experiences of others. That’s the “power of the third person” I just mentioned; social proof.

Why is social proof so important?

Today, anyone with a sufficient marketing budget can create visibility and present themselves well. But visibility alone doesn’t answer the question: Is this really trustworthy?

Advertising creates visibility. But when it comes to actually clicking the button to book or buy, trust is what matters. And that’s exactly where social proof plays a central role.

What would you say to entrepreneurs who don’t believe in collecting reviews?

I would say: they’re leaving money on the table. Many people hesitate to ask for feedback—but it’s actually very simple. You send a link, and with just a few clicks, someone can leave a review. The effort is minimal on both sides—but the benefit is significant.

Is there anything else you’d like to see from ProvenExpert?

Above all, I would like more support in fully using all the features. I only recently discovered how versatile the surveys are and that you can customize and automate them. Your webinars are a huge help with that. Additional inspiration along the lines of “What’s possible?” would certainly help many users get even more out of ProvenExpert.

For Alexandra, reviews play a central role in her business.

Especially in the coaching or consulting sector, many people only decide to work with someone once they see what experiences others have already had. Authentic reviews help build trust and showcase expertise.
