Zapier is an online automation tool that connects various apps with each other, thus facilitating the exchange of information between them. Zapier makes it possible to automate tasks that would otherwise have to be done manually, without having to program or rely on developers to create the integration, thus saving time. When creating an automated workflow, you should always keep the following points in mind:
- What process do you want to automate?
- What rules should be followed?
- What information do you want to move between your apps?
These elements together form what is known as a Zap. It is Zapier's word for automated workflows that connect apps and services. No matter what problem you are trying to solve or rules you set, each workflow within Zapier that contains these elements and runs automatically is called a Zap. A Zap focuses on two specific words: “What and Then.” When this happens, do this. The what is the trigger to start the execution of the automation, and the then command is the action.
